Afternoon Comfort.....

Dearest Readers,

The afternoon light is always a comfort to me as I spend time in my tiny little kitchen...

I love the cozy shadows and sparkling light that make each day I spend tucked away in this sweet corner of my home a time to be treasured....I am so happy to have shared this with you dear friends.

Yours kindredly,
Shan

I love cozy kitchens! All those little extras reflect the woman whose kitchen it is. :)

Love your kitchen! So many things to look at. What is your back splash made of, painted tin or wallpaper? I really like the look of it.
And those shelves of pickles, I'm drooling!
And please share a pic of your entire stove. I have always wanted a vintage one or a repro one. Thank you for sharing all the fun pics. Just lovely.

Dear Shan,
I just discovered your lovely blog via your comment to Maria about sewing a jumper.
And what a delightful blog you have!
Your kitchen is just wonderful-I love your photos showing such cosy scenes for us to look at. And I see the wallpaper border at your ceiling is the same as I had in our hallway!! How lovely!
Judging by the beautiful old things I see you enjoy, I think we might be kindred spirits :-)
God bless you..Trish

Dear Shan,

All your posts are delightful, and now two new ones back to back! Simply lovely. The hat was perfect with your ensemble. Lucky thrifting find, too--and the black buttons tie it all together.

What an uplifting treat to visit in your warm and beautiful kitchen. Thank you for the wonderful photos! Your message of a gentle life is just what is needed here.

Blessings

Dear Shan,

Your kitchen has such a lovely, warm and cozy, old fashioned feeling with your many delightful finds! The pickles on your pantry shelves look so delicious and so nicely displayed with the lace edging! Love that old Biscuit crock! Really Shan, you've done such a wonderful job at giving it an old fashioned look! We so enjoyed seeing it!
